Tips for better puppy pictures

Elsewhere on this site you can see pictures of our puppy. It is one of the best visited page on our site and more or less frequent we get questions about how we made these nice pictures. Because we think we're getting experienced on photography and on puppies (and especially on the combination of those two) we hereby give you some of our tips to get the best shots of your puppy.

1. Take the film out of the box and put it in your camera (the film of course).
2. Get the box out of the mouth of your puppy and throw the box in the trash can.
3. Get your puppy out of the thrash can and wipe the dirt from his head. Your pup looks better without it.
4. Look for a suitable background (Supertip: find a background WITHOUT cats).
5. Prepare your camera for the first picture.
6. Find your puppy and take the dirty sock out of his mouth.
7. Put the puppy in the place you had chosen and take some distance.
8. Put your puppy back in this place and tell him to SIT and STAY (speak with some emphasis).
9. Forget about the background, crawl on your knees to where your puppy goes and keep your camera ready.
10. Adjust your camera with one hand and try to decoy your pup with some food in you other hand.
11. Get a soft towel and wipe away the noseprints from the lens of the camera.
12. Get the flash bulb out of the mouth of your puppy and throw it away (the flash bulb).
13. Send the cat temporarily outdoors and treat the scratches on the nose of your puppy with some gel.
14. Put the ashtray and the magazines back on the table.
15. Try to get your pup's attention by holding his favorite toy above your head.
16. Put your glasses back on and make you hair decent again. Pick up the camera from under the couch and check if it's still working.
17. Jump up on time, take up your puppy and say: shame that must be done outside!
18. Call your spouse to help cleaning this accident.
19. Get yourself a double Scotch on the rocks.
20. Sit down in an easy chair and convince yourself to let your puppy practice more on SIT and STAY.
